Online workshop for parents on digital safety of children

Sometimes it seems that children's lives revolve around their phones and modern technology, which is probably even more pronounced during the pandemic, when social activities were reduced, and everyone spent more time at home. Technology is increasingly becoming a part of our lives. If a child uses the Internet without adult supervision, he or she may be exposed to programs with harmful content, which encourages inappropriate behavior, promotes violent or sexually explicit content.

The goal

The goal of our workshop is to help parents develop useful skills, to get acquainted with the advantages and risks of the Internet, through concrete advice, conversation and examples from practice, in order to protect their children from potential dangers in the digital environment.

Topics

  • what are the risks that children face online and the possibilities of risk reduction
  • the main role of parents in the development of the correct attitude of children towards virtual reality, perception of the network and positioning of the child in the sphere of private / public, as well as the development of responsible behavior
  • parenting styles - how to protect a child, not ruin his privacy and keep up with trends
  • dealing with cyberbullying, child support

The workshop will be led by Branislava Krasić and Ana Mitrović, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapists. C The event is intended for parents of school-age children (primary and secondary school).

Participation is free for interested parents. The number of places is limited, so it is necessary to confirm your arrival by filling out the application form, which can be found at the link below, no later than September 17 at 10 am or until the capacity is full.

The event is realized online on the Zoom platform, and all registered participants will receive an e-mail link with information for access and monitoring on the day of the workshop.
