The first webinar in this series is dedicated to the European Heritage Days and draws attention to the importance of education in the field of cultural heritage.

European Heritage Days are the most famous participatory cultural event shared by citizens across Europe with the aim of raising awareness of the richness of Europe's history and the diversity of its peoples and cultures. This year, European Heritage Days celebrate the common theme of Heritage and Education: Learning for Life !.

The webinar Cultural Heritage and Education will look at the role of cultural heritage in the modern world, which has grown from a field of interest of a narrow circle of enthusiasts and experts into a universal phenomenon. It will open up questions of new concepts and approaches necessary to understand global trends. It will draw attention to the importance of involving citizens in the processes of protection and management of cultural heritage and reducing the risk of its abuse.

The topics we raise during this webinar are:

  • The importance of education in the field of cultural heritage protection
  • Presentation of handbooks for organizations and citizens interested in heritage;
  • Cultural heritage and a new reality.
